The problem
Every team scheduled its own way, in its own spreadsheet. Shifts, time off, and coverage lived in dozens of disconnected files.
2015Octofi was created by security operations leaders who spent years managing 24/7 teams across global locations, and who couldn't find a tool built for how that work really runs.
Our founders spent more than a decade inside a global managed security services provider, starting as analysts in the security operations center and working up to lead it. At its peak, the SOC had about 155 people, part of an operations center of 400 to 500 across security, device management, NOC, help desk, and more, spread across global locations.
Every team scheduled its own way, usually in its own spreadsheet. Shifts, time off, and coverage lived in dozens of disconnected files. We evaluated four or five workforce management vendors in depth. None came close to what a 24/7 global operation needed.
So we asked for two weeks to build something better. The first version was small and rough, but the teams loved it. Over the next seven years, it grew into a full platform used across the enterprise, reaching well beyond operations.
When managers who had left for other companies asked if they could buy it, we knew it was time. We rebuilt it from the ground up, keeping seven years of lessons and leaving the technical debt behind. That became Octofi. Our first customer signed on before we had even launched, and Octofi became generally available in 2023.
We're bootstrapped, with no outside investors. We answer to our customers, and every dollar goes back into the product and the people who support it. Even our logo started as a sketch one of our founders drew by hand.
We come from security operations, so MSSPs and SOCs are a natural fit. But Octofi is industry agnostic: NOCs, contact centers, manufacturers, help desks, and sales teams all use it to run 24/7 operations with confidence.
We ran a 155-person SOC before we ever wrote software. Every feature starts with a problem we lived through.
Octofi ran inside a global enterprise for seven years before we sold it to anyone. We launched with the lessons, not the guesswork.
You'll know the people who build Octofi by name. We stay close, listen closely, and treat your feedback as our roadmap.
From the first demo to the hundredth shift change, working with Octofi and the people behind it should be easy.
One of our founders sketched the first Octofi logo on paper in 2022. The idea stuck: reaching every corner of your operation at once.
We'll show you Octofi running for a team like yours, set up by the people who built it.
